SPAIN, Madrid: Neighbors and people in protest against evictions after trying to evict Vicente Torres from his apartment in Madrid on April 18, 2012. Vicente Torres, 73, who is severy ill and underwent a recent heart surgery, faces an eviction from his house. Eviction procedures in Spanish courts for unpaid mortgages and rent hit a record of 58,241 in 2011, a 21.2 percent rise over the previous year.
